An affirmation is a positive thought that you choose to immerse in your consciousness to produce a desired result. The repetitive use of an affirmation will simultaneously make its impression on your mind and erase the old thought pattern, producing permanent desirable changes in your life.
A simple effective way to use affirmations is :
Divide a sheet of paper in half with a line down the middle.
Write the affirmation in present tense, including your own name in it, at the top of the left hand column.
Write down, immeadiately, your response to this, whatever it may be, in the right hand column, whatever comes up : A thought, fear, anger, boredom - write it down.
Keep on writing the affirmation and your responses to it, at least 20 times.
Continue working with it daily, until you achieve the desired result you want.
Take a deep relaxed breath. “LIGHTEN UP” and have many hours of fun !

AFFIRMATIONS
Improve the quality of your ideas and you will improve the quality of your life.
The underlying philosophy we teach is: "Thought is creative. You are the thinker." The idea is to clear our minds every day to raise the quality of our thoughts and feelings.
The first step towards awareness is to realize that thought is creative. Your thoughts powered by the life force (breath) flowing through you, create everything in your personal reality. In other words:
Your negative thoughts produce negative results for you and your positive thoughts produce positive results for you. So, whatever you think about expands (or happens). Your thoughts produce results even though you are no longer consciously thinking them.
Thoughts like "I'm weak", "I'm poor", "I never get what I want", "other people are better off than me", "things happen to me that I can't control", Life is against me" or "some force outside of me controls my destiny" - are powerful thoughts that create your reality. ('Reality' is the way your life is right now). All these thoughts create your reality by drawing to you life experiences that "prove you right". Questioning and changing these beliefs is good for both physical and mental health.
One doesn't destroy negative thoughts by denying them or suppressing them, but by transforming them into positive thoughts and feelings. Working with affirmations is one of the very effective and simple ways to help you change a negative thought.
